1. They appeared in the AKTU Even Semester Examination 2025-26, conducted between 7 May 2026 and 11 June 2026.
2. Their semester result has already been declared.
3. They are final-year students who could not apply during the earlier Challenge Evaluation window announced through notification numbers 2960 (17 June 2026) and 2974 (23 June 2026).

What is AKTU Challenge Evaluation?

Challenge Evaluation is a two-stage process introduced by AKTU to make the evaluation system more transparent.

Instead of directly applying for re-evaluation, students first get the opportunity to view their evaluated answer sheet online.

If they still feel that their answer sheet has not been checked properly, they can proceed to the second stage for re-evaluation.

Stage-1: View Your Evaluated Answer Sheet

The first stage is only for viewing your digitally evaluated answer sheet.

Stage-1 Fee

After paying the fee, your evaluated answer sheet will be made available on your ERP login after the application period ends.

How to Apply for Stage-1?

3. Open the Challenge Evaluation section.

What Happens After Viewing Your Answer Sheet?

After checking your scanned answer sheet, you have two options:

Option 2

If you believe your copy has not been evaluated properly, you can apply for Stage-2 Challenge Evaluation.

Stage-2 Challenge Evaluation (Re-evaluation)

Stage-2 is meant for students who are still dissatisfied after viewing their answer sheet.

Unlike Stage-1, this stage involves a complete re-evaluation of your answer sheet by independent subject experts.

How Does Stage-2 Evaluation Work?

AKTU follows a transparent evaluation process.

Two Independent Subject Experts

Your answer sheet is evaluated by two different subject experts.

Before sending the copy:

1. Original marks are completely hidden.
2. Both experts receive separate copies.
3. Neither expert knows the marks given by the original evaluator.

This process is called Blind Evaluation.

How Are Final Marks Decided?

After both experts complete the evaluation:

1. The average of both evaluations is calculated.
2. This average becomes your final marks.

It is important to understand that:

Your marks may increase or decrease.

The final marks will replace your original marks in the marksheet, regardless of whether they are higher or lower.

Example

Original Marks: 62

Expert 1 gives: 70

Expert 2 gives: 74

Average:

(70 + 74) ÷ 2 = 72

Your final marks will become 72.

Similarly, if the average is lower than your original marks, the lower marks will be considered final.

Refund Rules

Many students are confused about the refund policy.

If the difference between your original marks and the average marks awarded by the two experts is more than 20%, then:

1. ₹1000 will be deducted as administrative charges.
2. ₹1500 will be refunded to the student.

Action Against Incorrect Evaluation

AKTU has also mentioned strict action against evaluators whose checking is found to be significantly inaccurate.

If repeated cases show a difference of more than 20%, disciplinary action may be taken.

The action includes:

1. 1 to 3 cases: Show Cause Notice.
2. More than 3 cases: Evaluation remuneration for that paper may be withheld.
3. More than 5 cases: Debarred from examination-related work for at least 2 years.
4. More than 10 cases: Adverse entry may be recorded in the evaluator's service record.

These rules are part of the Challenge Evaluation guidelines issued by the Uttar Pradesh Governor's Secretariat to ensure fair and transparent evaluation.

Why Was This Notification Issued Again?

Earlier, AKTU had released two Challenge Evaluation notifications.

This was mainly for eligible final-year students whose marks could affect the University or Institute Merit List for the upcoming convocation.

Notification dated 23 June 2026

This notification was specifically issued for B.Arch final-year students.

The latest notification now allows eligible students, including final-year students who missed those earlier application windows, to apply for Stage-1 Challenge Evaluation.
