NHAI Internship Programmes for Students
The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has issued a letter regarding the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) Internship Programmes. Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University has informed its affiliated and associated institutions about the proposed internship programmes.
NHAI plans to engage approximately 1,083 interns across 125 ongoing projects throughout the country under two programmes: the Winter Internship Programme 2026-27 and the Term Internship Programme 2027. The Winter Internship Programme will last for one month during December 2026-January 2027, while the Term Internship Programme will be six months long, from January to June 2027.
The internship programmes aim to provide eligible students with valuable industry exposure, practical learning opportunities, and professional competencies through their engagement with ongoing National Highway projects and related activities.
All affiliated and associated institutions are requested to widely circulate this information among eligible students and encourage them to apply for the above-mentioned internship programmes within the prescribed timeline. The important dates for submission of applications and recommendations are as follows:
- Submission of applications by students: 10 November 2026
- Submission of recommendations by institutions: 20 November 2026
The Principals and Directors of the institutions are requested to ensure timely submission of eligible students' applications and institutional recommendations as per the prescribed schedule.
